Kellen Bloom

Communications Director

Kellen Bloom is the Communications Director at South Metro Vineyard Church. He grew up in Burnsville and has been a part of the Vineyard since he was 5. He graduated from the University of MN with a B.A. in Communication Studies. He is married to Nikki, our Youth Ministry Pastor, and loves being a dad to his son, Isaak (October 2014) and daughters, Lucia (May 2016) and Marlow (January 2019). He also enjoys playing with fireworks, basking in the warmth of a scented candle, watching and discussing films, traveling and trying new foods, floating on a lake, and cheering on hopelessly abysmal MN sports teams.

He began as the Student Life Director in 2010, hanging out with teenagers and digging into all the awesome things God has for their lives. He then transitioned to Communications Director in 2014, but still helps in various ministries.  He is passionate about seeing people come to Jesus and be transformed by the Holy Spirit. Don’t hesitate to ask him any questions you may have about faith, the Vineyard, or SMVC, especially the REALLY weird questions (he loves those).
